Silver Spring Fire Department Offers another Babysitter Safety Course - Community Advisory

Presented by the Life Safety Unit of Silver Spring Volunteer Fire Department.
This four hour class covers safety in the home including fire prevention, stranger danger, scalds and burns, choking hazards, basic first aid, how to get help and other useful information. It is taught by a paramedic. It is appropriate for anyone 12 and over. A completion card will be issued. There is no charge but pre-registration is required. The class is at the Silver Spring Fire Station 16, 111 University Boulevard - adjacent to Montgomery Blair High School.
The class is Tuesday, July 10, from 6 pm to 10 pm.
Register early; the last class held earlier in the month was full and numerous individuals were turned away.
