Armed Robbery - Community Advisory

On August 17, 2012, Takoma Park Police responded to the 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue to a parking lot for the report of an armed robbery that had occurred at approximately 6:40 p.m. The victim advised that while he was walking with his family he was approached by three suspects in a vehicle who wanted to sell him property. When the victim said he did not want to buy the property, the suspect who was sitting in the front passenger seat brandished a pocket knife, 6 inches with a black handle and silver blade, and took property from the victim. The suspect returned to the vehicle and it sped off at a high rate of speed towards New Hampshire Avenue. Neither the victim nor his family suffered any physical injuries. The suspects are described as follows:

Suspect 1: Driver: black male, dark complexion, 30-35 years old, skinny build last seen wearing a white t-shirt.
Suspect 2: Front passenger: black male, dark complexion, 23-24 years old, skinny build, black hair, spoke Spanish, last seen wearing a white t-shirt, and plastic hospital-type bracelet
Suspect 3: Back seat passenger: black female, dark complexion, 18-19 years old, thin build, last seen wearing a white t-shirt.
