The National Weather Service has issued a WINTER STORM WATCH for Montgomery County from Thursday morning to Thursday night. A low pressure system has developed over the lower Mississippi valley, and is expected to move through the region Thursday late afternoon and ending by late Thursday night.
According to the National Weather Service's most current forecast, accumulations across the county will vary from potentially 1 to 3 inches in the northern parts of Montgomery to potentially 3 to 5 inches inside the beltway. The storm track can shift so final snowfall totals might vary.
A winter storm watch is issued when there is the potential for snowfall and hazardous winter weather within 24 to 36 hours.
