Takoma Park Police Department Weekly Crime Report: 2/1/13 - 2/7/13

Ward 1:

Larceny

6900 blk. of Carroll Ave., on Saturday, February 2nd at 1:59 p.m., officers responded to a theft that occurred earlier. Unknown suspect(s) stole a coat from a church closet.

Residential Burglary

7700 blk. of Maple Ave., on Wednesday, February 6th at 6:50 a.m., officers responded to a burglary in progress. A known male suspect entered a female victim’s apartment without her permission and fled the scene after being confronted by the victim before police units arrived on scene.

Auto Theft

1100 blk. of University Blvd., on Saturday, February 2nd at 8:05 a.m., officers responded to an auto theft that occurred overnight. Unknown suspect(s) stole a white 2005 Ford Econoline E350 Van by unknown means while it was parked a lot.

Arrests:

100 blk. of Philadelphia Ave., on Saturday, February 2nd at 1:23 p.m., a male 28, was arrested for having an open failure to pay fines warrant.

7400 blk. of New Hampshire Ave., on Saturday, February 2nd at 5:35 a.m., a male 29 was arrested for having an open driving without a license warrant.

7500 blk. of Maple Ave., on Wednesday, February 6th at 5:35 p.m., two males both 22, were arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

7000 blk. of Carroll Ave., on Monday, February 4th at 11:32 p.m., a female 25, was arrested for having an open suspended license warrant and also driving with a suspended license.
