Chief Alan M. Goldberg from the Takoma Park Police Department announces the arrest of Dwayne Bartlette, 22, of Silver Spring, Maryland, for Possession with the Intent to Distribute Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) Marijuana and several open warrants for Vehicle Theft, Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, and other offenses.

During the month of April, Takoma Park Police Department’s Special Assignment Team (SAT) were investigating the whereabouts of Bartlette, who was wanted on several outstanding warrants. At 4:20 p.m., on April 16, a Takoma Park Police SAT detective located Bartlette in the 700 block of Sligo Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland. With the assistance of Montgomery County Police, Takoma Park Police responded to the area. Upon observing police presence, Bartlette fled the area on foot. He was quickly apprehended and found to be in possession of CDS Marijuana in an amount indicative of in intent to distribute.

Bartlette was arrested, charged accordingly and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.
