Tree Down/Partial Road Closure - Community Advisory

On April 11, 2013, at approximately 7:15 p.m., Takoma Park Police responded to the 7100 block of Cedar Avenue for a large tree down. The tree had fallen from a property and destroyed part of a fence. The tree also fell on a secondary power line that was connected to the residence. The City Arborist and Pepco were notified and responded. The Arborist advised that a crew would clean up the tree on April 12, 2013. Pepco removed the power line from the roadway. Tulip Avenue between Holly Avenue and Cedar Avenue is down to one lane. Barricades and caution tape are blocking the downed tree. Please use caution.
