Gas Station Theft from Auto - Community Advisory

On April 21, 2012, Takoma Park Police responded for a theft from auto that occurred in the 6300 block of New Hampshire Avenue (Sunoco Gas Station). At approximately 2:14 p.m., the victim was pumping gas when a black, newer style BMW sedan with dark tinted windows pulled alongside the vehicle. A skinny black male passenger wearing gloves and a grey hoodie exited and opened the passenger door of the victim’s vehicle and took property from the front seat. The BMW then fled southbound on New Hampshire Avenue. A look-out was given to surrounding jurisdictions.

Investigation continues under case #12019081. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to please call us at 301.270.1100.
