Attempt Burglary - Community Advisory

On January 4, 2013, Takoma Park Police responded to the 200 block of Grant Avenue for reports of an attempt burglary. At approximately 11:00 p.m., a suspect knocked loudly on the victim's door. When the victim replied, there was no return answer. The victim then saw the male suspect looking through a side living room window. The suspect saw the victim and fled on foot down Grant Avenue towards Maple Avenue. A look through the house revealed an open kitchen window, but entry had not been made. There is no known suspect at this time.
Investigation continues under case #13000750. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to please call us at 301.270.1100.
