The Takoma Park Middle School was cleared by Takoma Park Police Officers and bomb squad officials with no potential threats found. The lock down has been lifted and classes will resume as usual.
On January 29th, at approximately 9:22 a.m., Takoma Park Police Officers responded to a bomb threat made by a student at the Takoma Park Middle School located at 7611 Piney Branch Road. The school has currently been placed on lock down as officers conduct a sweep for any potential threats. The student is currently in custody. More information will be forthcoming as the investigation continues.
