On February 3, 2012, at approximately 8:45 a.m., Takoma Park Police responded to the 100 block of Hodges Lane for reports of a citizen armed robbery. The victim was walking up the steps to his residence when he was approached by a black male with a black gun. He was ordered to give property to the suspect to which he complied. He was then ordered to lie face down on the ground, to which he again complied, and the suspect then fled in an unknown direction. The victim did not suffer any physical injury.
The suspect is described as a black male, 6’2-6’3, approximately 225 lbs., medium skin complexion, last seen wearing a black mask exposing his eyes only, gray hooded jacket, dark jeans (possibly dark gray or black), armed with a black gun which resembled a Glock. Witnesses reported seeing a black SUV Honda CRV in the immediate vicinity leaving the area after the robbery driving down Chestnut Avenue towards Philadelphia Avenue.
