Commercial Burglary

6900 blk. of New Hampshire Ave., on Friday, January 27 at 10:00 a.m., officers responded to a burglary that occurred overnight. Unknown suspect(s) used a rock to break a storefront window and stole property.
6800 blk. of New Hampshire Ave., on Friday, January 27 at 8:48 a.m., officers reopened to a burglary that occurred overnight. Unknown suspect(s) used a rock to break a storefront window and stole property.

Ward 3:

Robbery

Intersection of Walnut Ave. and Westmoreland Ave., on Saturday, January 28 at 10:09 p.m., officers responded to a robbery that just occurred. An unknown male suspect approached the male victim as he walked and brandished a handgun. The suspect demanded property and the victim complied. The suspect fled toward Eastern Ave. The victim was uninjured.

Larceny from Vehicle

6400 blk. of New Hampshire Ave., on Saturday, January 28 at 3:20 p.m., officers responded to a theft that just occurred. An unknown male suspect broke the female victim’s passenger side window while the victim was inside the gas station and stole the victim’s purse before fleeing in a waiting vehicle.

6300 blk. of New Hampshire Ave., on Friday, January 27 at 9:49 a.m., officers responded to a theft that just occurred. An unknown male suspect pulled alongside the female victim’s vehicle while pumping gas, opened the unlocked car door, and removed the victim’s purse.

300 blk. of Elm Ave., on Friday, January 27 at 7:30 a.m., officers responded to a theft that occurred overnight. Unknown suspect(s) broke a vehicle window and stole property.

Assault/Auto Theft

6400 blk. of New Hampshire Ave., on Tuesday, January 31 at 8:22 p.m., officers responded to an auto theft that just occurred. Four male suspects pulled into a gas station and stole a silver 2005 Mazda 6 that was left running and unattended while the victim was inside the station. Before fleeing one suspect pointed a handgun at a bystander that was pumping gas in a threatening manner. The victims were unharmed.

Larceny

100 blk. of Lee Ave., on Tuesday, January 31 at 4:00 p.m., officers responded to a theft that just occurred. A male suspect posing as a Comcast technician received permission to enter the victim’s house, removed the cable box, and fled the scene.

Ward 5:

Larceny from Auto

700 blk. of Hudson Ave., on Sunday, January 29 at 11:25 p.m., officers responded to a theft that occurred earlier. Unknown suspect(s) removed property from an unlocked vehicle.

Ward 6:

Larceny

1300 blk. of University Blvd., on Saturday, January 28 at 2:06 p.m., officers responded to a theft in progress. A female 18, was arrested for shoplifting after removing items from a store without paying.
1300 blk. of University Blvd., on Saturday, January 28 at 11:57 a.m., officers responded to a theft in progress. A male 76 was arrested for shoplifting after removing items from a store without paying.

Arrests:

6900 blk. of Laurel Ave., on Sunday, January 29 at 3:49 a.m., a male 19 was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

7600 blk. of New Hampshire Ave., on Wednesday, February 1 at 1:36 p.m., a male 36 was arrested for having an open alcoholic container in public.

7600 blk. of New Hampshire Ave., on Wednesday, February 1 at 10:00 a.m., a male 31 was arrested for having an open driving without a license warrant.

900 blk. of Ethan Allen Ave., on Saturday, January 28 at 8:12 p.m., a female 50 was arrested for having an open destruction of property warrant.

7400 blk. of New Hampshire Ave., on Friday, January 27 at 11:22 p.m., two males, both 17 were arrested for fleeing and eluding, failure to furnish proper ID, and related charges.
