Attempted Murder/Armed Robbery- News Release

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On Tuesday, June 19th at approximately 4:39 p.m., Takoma Park Police officers responded to the 6300 block of New Hampshire Avenue for an assault in progress. Once on scene officers observed an adult male victim lying on the ground suffering from stab wounds. Through investigation it was learned that the victim was approached by a male suspect. The suspect demanded the victims property and a struggle ensued. The suspect then produced a knife and assaulted the victim before fleeing into Prince George's County. Takoma Park Police officers with the assistance of Prince George's County Police officers canvassed the area for the suspect with negative results. The suspect is described as a black male, in his 30's, approximately 5'11" in height, thin athletic build, dark complexion, short dark hair, stubble facial hair, wearing blue jeans and black shoes.
