The Citizens' Police Academy is back for its second session! The course is designed to educate citizens on the required duties and obligations of a police officer, and it will provide a glimpse into all aspects of the City’s police department that make it run smoothly on a daily basis. Session II will commence on September 20, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. each Thursday night for 12 consecutive weeks. Sessions will be held at the Takoma Park Community Center, and there is no cost to participate. You must be 18 years of age and pass a background check. The deadline for registration is July 31, 2012 - but don't delay! The session is limited to the first 20 students.
