Shots Heard Fired - Community Advisory

On September 20, 2012, at approximately 12:36 a.m., Takoma Park Police received multiple calls for shots heard fired in and around the 7400 block of Holly Avenue and surrounding areas. Officers canvassed the areas and found no casings or evidence of shots fired. Takoma Park Police spoke with the Metropolitan Police Department who indicated one of their officers was parked on the DC line near Eastern Avenue and Maple Street and that he also heard a series of gun shots believed to be in the residential areas between Cedar Avenue and Maple Avenue. Units continued to circulate the area with negative findings.

Investigation continues. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to please call us at 301.270.1100.
