On August 20, 2012, at approximately 9:19 p.m., Takoma Park Police responded to the 7000 block of Carroll Avenue to a parking lot for the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred. The victim was standing in the parking lot when she was approached by a suspect with a handgun from behind demanding property. The victim complied and the suspect fled in an awaiting vehicle towards the District of Columbia.
The suspect is described as follows: black male, 5’10-6’0, medium build, last seen wearing a white shirt, unknown color shorts, ski mask and armed with a black handgun.
Investigation continues under case #12041283. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to please call us at 301.270.1100.
