It has been reported to the Takoma Park Police Department that an organization has been soliciting for money by telephone for a Police Protective Fund or Police Memorial Fund for fallen officers. The Takoma Park Police Department does not solicit money for any such cause, nor do we endorse any charity organization(s) that solicits funds or any other donations for the benefit of fallen officers. If you are not familiar with an organization that contacts you, you should not provide any personal information, money, checks or credit card information to the alleged organization(s). If you receive such a solicitation, please call the Takoma Park Police Department at 301-270-1100 and report it. Thank you.
