Theft from Auto - Community Advisory

On August 26, 2012, at approximately 11:55 a.m., Takoma Park Police responded to the 300 block of Elm Avenue for reports of suspicious subjects in the parking lot. Investigation revealed that three subjects were seen hanging around a vehicle in the parking lot, and when they noticed they were being watched, they fled in a black pick-up truck. Inspection of the vehicle in the parking lot revealed the passenger side window had been broken out. The owner of the vehicle indicated that property had been stolen from her vehicle.
