Armed Robbery - Community Advisory

On April 8, 2013, at approximately 9:31 p.m., Takoma Park Police responded to the 1300 block of University Blvd. (Pollo Campero) parking lot for an armed robbery that had just occurred. The victim was in his parked vehicle when he was approached by two Hispanic males. One of the suspects entered the passenger side of the victim’s vehicle holding a knife, while the other stood outside the driver’s side window. The suspect inside the vehicle demanded property. The victim refused and received a superficial wound to his chest area caused by the tip of the knife blade when the suspect lunged toward him. During this time, the second suspect outside the vehicle punched the victim through the open window. The suspects fled the area on foot, without obtaining any property, and were last seen running towards University Blvd. in an unknown direction. The suspects are described as two Hispanic males, one wearing a blue baseball cap with a white shirt and light blue jeans, 5’5, 139 lbs., 20-25 years old. The other was wearing a black jacket with white and red graphics and blue jeans, 5’5, 135 lbs., 20-25 years old.
