Attempt Thefts from Autos; Destruction of Property - Community Advisory

On April 10, 2013, at approximately 5:51 a.m., Takoma Park Police responded to the 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue for reports of an attempt theft from auto. Unknown suspect(s) broke the front driver’s side window of the victim’s vehicle sometime between April 9 at 9:45 a.m. and April 10 at 5:50 a.m. Property was not taken.

While responding to the above, another victim indicated that his vehicle was also broken into between April 9 at 4:00 p.m. and April 10 at 5:50 a.m., suspect(s) also breaking the front driver’s side window to gain entry. Property was not taken.

While reporting the above, a third vehicle was discovered broken into by police. Unknown suspect(s) cut open the victim’s soft convertible top to gain entry. Unknown if property was taken; attempts are being made to contact the owner.
