On April 8, 2013, Takoma Park Police responded to the 8500 block of Flower Avenue for the report of suspicious activity.  Upon arrival, Fire & Rescue was on the scene of the residence for medical assistance.  Fire & Rescue forced the door to the residence open and no one was inside.  However, there was evidence of a shooting that had taken place.  Officers secured the residence.  A call was subsequently received from Prince George’s County Police for a shooting victim in a local hospital.  The victim reported being shot in Takoma Park; investigators believe it occurred at the residence they previously responded to on Flower Avenue.  Investigation revealed that the victim was shot inside a residence that is known for its drug activity.  The victim is in stable condition.  Investigation is on-going.
